We have puppies! Carson and TJ are
12 weeks old. They
are litter brothers (Carson
and TJ are in the picture). Both are
black and rust,
with docked tails and natural ears.
They are in foster care learning house manners as well as attending
puppy classes at Canine Sports and Behavior (www.caninesportsandbehavior.com)
These boys are old enough
to go to their new homes. Before you apply to
adopt
one of these babies,
please consider whether you have the time and
patience to
devote to housebreaking,
training, and socializing him. Bear in mind
that he will
probably be 80 pounds or more
when full grown, and that his body will be
grown
up long before his brain is—mentally,
Dobes are puppies until they are
two
years old or so. SWODR strongly recommends early obedience training and
crate training. They must be neutered as soon as they are old enough.
Update: Chad and Rudi found wonderful new homes and went home this
weekend.
Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only.
If you are interested in meeting the puppies, please let us know so that
arrangements can be made with the foster home.
NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order
to be considered to adopt a dog through our program.
