Hello, I’m Athena! I used to live in a house with lots of other dogs. I
guess there were too many of us, though, because my people took me and
three of my companions to a shelter, and just left us! Can you believe
it? Lucky for me a nice lady came and took me home. She says she is my
“foster mom.” She says I am blue, and she tells me I am petite and
pretty and have a beautiful coat. I am five years old—I am a sensible,
grown-up girl. I love people, and I will snuggle in your lap if you let
me. I’m very sweet. I had some puppies once upon a time, but foster mom
says I don’t have to have any more. Pretty soon, my foster mom will
introduce me to kitties. They seem nice enough. I hope I will like them,
because I can use some friends right now. Will you let me be your
friend, and come home with you? I’m a good girl. Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only. NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order to be considered to adopt a dog through our program. |
