Diesel comes to us via Pilots and Paws. He arrived after a couple short
flights out of VA. Diesel's date of birth is May 6, 2010. His original
owner had him tied outside and his current owner nursed his rack of bones
back to health and did wonders for him socially. She has developed a
terminal illness and wanted to be sure he found a new home that would be
able to care for him. Diesel knows sit, come, shake hands and has great
house manners. He is a sweet, bouncy, comedic character. As a rescue he
too has experienced some abuse in his past and will leave the room if he
feels threatened or will flinch if a hand is raised. These are all
traits typical of a rescue and sometimes go away with confidence in their
new lives, but sometimes they remain as skeletons in their closets. He
loves other dogs and people. He's black/tan with natural ears and a
docked tail. You won't want to pass this boy up as he will not be around
long! Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only. NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order to be considered to adopt a dog through our program. |
