Holly Noel-
Adopted

|
Here’s Holly Noel. Isn’t she precious? It’s hard to believe that someone
would just dump her by the side of the road, but that’s what happened.
Lucky for her, a resident in the area spotted her and called Payton’s
Place, and our volunteers were able to rescue her before she was hit by
a car or eaten by a coyote. Holly is 8 or 9 months old. She is
small--less than 30 pounds--and is probably close to being full grown.
She is a mix, of what we are not sure. We’ve listed her as a Shetland
Sheepdog mix because we have to give her a breed identifier, and it may
be true. Certainly she has some herding dog in her, and her coat and
build are somewhat Sheltie like. She has a plume tail and pants on her
back legs. She tries to herd her buddy Rocky. She is brindle, from
long-haired Dachshund maybe, and her face and head look a bit like a
Keeshond’s. Whatever she is, she is adorable. She is sweet, playful, and
affectionate. She likes people and other dogs, and will make a great
pet. She is small enough to live in an apartment. However, she will need
plenty of daily exercise, such as a long walk or vigorous play (or
both). She would make a nice little agility dog.
Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only.
NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order
to be considered to adopt a dog through our program.
