Lillian- Adopted

Lillian, a 3 year old, black/tan, natural eared female, comes to us from a shelter where she was brought in with puppies. Once the puppies were weaned, an all breed rescue was able to take them and adopt them out since they were mixes but that left momma dog without a place to go. Once Lillian arrived, she continued to hold up her back leg as if she was in pain. While she was being spayed, the vet was able to examine her ankle in depth and determined it would be best to biopsy her leg to be sure she did not have cancer. Lillian's biopsy was received back all clear and all of her blood work looks good. She still seems to have some pain but it is felt that her pain is from an old injury to her ankle. We are exploring other options to try to relieve the pain at this point. She is putting on weight and feeling much better otherwise. She is enjoying playing with her foster siblings and foster kitties and loves all people.

Update: Lillian had her surgery and is recovering well. She will have x-rays in a couple weeks to see how well she is progressing in her recovery. We had a very successful fundraiser for Lillian, but there are residual costs for the after care. Please consider donating to her care.
Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only.

NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order to be considered to adopt a dog through our program.
