Meet Magic! He is a handsome fawn boy with a nice coat and mahogany
markings. He has a docked tail and cropped ears that stand nicely. He is
around 3 years old. He was a stray and came to Payton’s Place from a
local shelter. When he was picked up he was extremely skinny, and had
suffered a broken leg. He is now putting on weight and has undergone
surgery on his leg. We expect him to heal completely. He is sweet and
loves people. He is fairly energetic, as befits his age. Magic will
benefit
from obedience lessons to channel his energy. He is eager to please and
should take to training well.
UPDATE: Magic is doing very well! He's quite energetic and loves to run and
jump! It's so nice
to see that his leg injury does not inhibit his activities as a young Dober-boy!
Magic's injury did not affect his
hip or joint it was a mid leg break that was rubbing on his pelvis. They
shaved the bone down to relieve the pain
that he was feeling from that. He is very active and seems to have no
ill affects from his injury and the second
picture will show you what a happy boy he is becoming!
Magic attended basic obedience classes with
Canine Sports and Behavior Center, Inc.
finished
quite well! He caught on to most things rather quickly and
seemed to enjoy spending time
with our volunteer as well as the other dogs in class!
Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only.
NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order
to be considered to adopt a dog through our program.
