River- Adopted

River is a 4-1/2 year old, beautiful, muscular, loving, energetic Doberman. He was rescued when he was 16 weeks old. He was born completely blind, but completely healthy otherwise! His current owners have a very small child and another child on the way, and they have decided that River should find another home.

River's ideal home would be with a physically active couple who could play with River, give him lots of love and exercise outside, but keep him indoors. River should be placed in a home without cats or small children. He gets along fine with other big dogs after a short warm-up/introductory period. He is confused by small dogs.

River is completely house- and crate-trained (although he is not currently kept in a crate). He knows basic commands and is very well-behaved as long as he has had some exercise and love. He is definitely a dog with special needs, who needs a loving, special home. River does not have any other ailments or require any special medical care. He is a healthy, 91-pound Doberboy who really wants to be a lap-dog! Oh…and River loves to fetch, believe it or not!
