Sage - Adopted
|
|
|
Here is Sage. She is a funny looking Doberman, don’t you think? Actually,
she is an Australian Shepherd mix. She is tan mixed with blue merle, and
has a naturally bobbed tail. She is cute as a button, and so soft. We
believe she is about 6 months old. She was found running loose in the
country, starving and ill, by a couple of our former adopters. They
nursed her back to health, but unfortunately were not able to keep her
long-term. So, here she is! She just loves people and also gets along
well with other dogs of both sexes. She loves to play with her foster
brother Chase. Sage is a high-energy girl, as befits her age and
herding-dog heritage. She has a strong natural herding instinct—she herds
all the Nylabones in the house and collects them into one spot. She also
enjoys sleeping on her doggy couch. Sage is attending intermediate
obedience classes at Canine Sports and Behavior Center with her foster
brother and is doing very well. She is smart as a whip, and would make a
fine agility dog. She is ready to move into her forever home and should
adjust to her new family rather quickly. She would be best in a family
with children over the age of 6. She is very sweet and would never
deliberately hurt a child, but she will try to herd them.
Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only.
If you are interested in meeting him, please let us
know so that arrangements can be made with the foster home.
NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order
to be considered to adopt a dog through our program.
