Wes came to us more than a year ago when his owner dropped him off at a police station without an explanation. (He simply walked in, said I don't want my dog anymore, handed the leash to a bewildered receptionist, and walked out.) Ever since he arrived Wes has been the sweetest little boy. He LOVES to cuddle. He has not the slightest grumpiness toward any human, and we've bathed him, walked him, clipped his nails, hauled him to the vet, and touched him everywhere. He is very affectionate with everyone he meets. He is the non-scariest Doberboy ever! Unfortunately, he doesn't get along well with cats or with other dogs, which is the main reason he is still with us. (He's been a bridesmaid a couple of times, but has been passed over for younger, flashier dogs. Wes is not fancy.) He prefers to be an only pet, he likes to keep his humans all to himself!

Wes is red with natural ears and a docked tail. He is cute, and is only medium size. He's about 6 years old (a wonderfully sensible age!) and in great health. He does not need a significant amount of exercise, although he enjoys going for walks. He does not have bad habits--he doesn't chew things up, jump on people, bounce off the walls and furniture, or bark at the air. He likes to ride in the car. He won't insist that you play with him, but would be content to hang out with you while you work or watch TV. He is an adaptable fellow, and will happily adjust to your household and schedule. He is looking for his forever home away from the kennel. Wouldn't you love to cuddle up with this adorable boy?
