Baby - Adopted

Baby is about as perfect a family dog as you will find. So why doesn’t she have a home?
Her story began three years ago when she was taken to the vet for ACL surgery. Her people
paid for the surgery, but they never picked her up. Baby stayed at the vet for a couple of months,
but it became clear that she had been abandoned. Rather than see her sent to the pound,
one of the technicians took Baby home. The tech was unable to keep her, but she found what
she thought was a good home for Baby. And maybe it was, at first, but something happened.
Just a few days ago the vet tech returned home to find Baby tied to her fence. Baby’s
family had disconnected their phone, vacated their home, and left town. Poor Baby had been
abandoned once again. The poor vet tech is still unable to keep her, but she has sent her to
Payton’s Place so that we can find a secure forever home for Baby.

Baby just turned 5 years old. She is at that wonderful time when a Dobe is mentally and
emotionally mature, yet still has youthful health and vigor. She is black and rust, with cropped
ears and a docked tail. She is a nice medium size for a Dobergirl. She is quite a beauty! She has
good manners. She is sweet and friendly, and seems to have taken the recent turmoil in stride.
She has been great with the vet tech’s 15-month-old child and with her small dogs. Can you offer
her the stable Forever home that she deserves? If so, she would be delighted to meet you!

Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only.
