Duke is new to SWODR. He is a handsome fawn male, about 18 months old. He
has cropped ears and a docked tail. He is an owner surrender. He had been living in
a back yard chained to a doghouse, and he is quite pleased to be in our kennel where
he has a roof over his head and a bed to sleep on. His coat is dull and rough from
having been outside, but it will be nice once he’s been indoors eating good food for a
while. It is not thin. Duke is friendly, loves attention, and does not seem to know any
strangers. Right now he is a bit ignorant (which is not surprising), but he will be eager to
please and should accept training readily. So far he has been tolerant of other dogs.
Duke has all the makings of a fine pet--he is a good boy! We will post more when we
get to know him.

Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only. 


NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order to be considered to adopt a dog through our program.
