This good-looking boy
is Gus. He is new to Payton’s Place, where he has come from a county
shelter. We are so glad we were able to rescue him from euthanasia,
because he is a terrific
dog. He is a rich red, with cropped ears and a docked tail. So far Gus
is calm and easygoing.
He is very affectionate and loves to be petted and scratched under his
chin. He is a first-class leaner. He loves the girl dogs. He was
introduced to two small furry dogs--one male and one
female and showed no aggressive behavior (he mostly ignored them). This
suggests that he is probably OK with cats too. We don't know how much
contact he has had with children, but he is so mellow that he would
probably be fine with respectful older kids. Gus will make a wonderful
pet and will fit easily into some lucky person's life. Can he come home
and hang out with you?
Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only.
NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order
