Meet Karma! She was
spotted running stray just a couple of miles from the rescue.
She was very skittish, bur two of our volunteers finally succeeded in
capturing her,
after much patience and coaxing. A trip to the vet revealed that she had
worms, fleas,
a little demodex, and coccidia. Clearly she has had little care during
her short life,
but she is now safe, clean, and fed. She is shy, but has learned that
nothing awful
is happening to her and has started to come out of her shell. Karma is
probably just a
little over 3 months old. She is a cutie! She is of decidedly mixed
ancestry--she
probably has some German Shepherd, a little Chow, some Collie or yellow
Lab, and
who knows what else. She is yellow, with a dark muzzle and adorable
floppy ears. She
will be a large dog at adulthood. She will be available for adoption to
some lucky family
after she has recovered her health and has been spayed.
Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only.
NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order
to be considered to adopt a dog through our program.
