Hi, I'm Katie! I was
found wandering the streets and was taken to a kill shelter.
A nice man got me out, and his friend took care of me for two months. I
loved her
but she had to go to the hospital and now I need to find my forever
home. I am
about 5 years old. I can sit, down, and shake on command and oh yeah-- I
smile A
LOT!!! I like kids and don't mind cats, but small dogs scare me
sometimes when they
get too close and in my face. (Sometimes they don’t have very good
manners!)
I LOVE walks and am VERY good on the leash. I am housebroken, too. I
really am
a good girl. I just want a home to call my own and a soft bed to sleep
in. I’d be so
happy if I could share yours.
Update: 1 Year
Anniversary! Everyone is doing great! Lucy and the cat keep
each other warm on
cold nights (when they aren't in the bed between Scott and I. And
every Saturday morning
Maddie (she's 11 now) jumps in bed with all of us and I seriously believe
it's a competition to
see who can love on Lucy the most! She still smiling for us like
crazy-especially
when we come home everyday. She's gone through 3 "bobo's" in the last
year but this new
pink one (in the picture we sent) is her absolute favorite-she acually
carries it out the door to
pee-our neighbors crack up!!!
We took her to the vet for her annual exam and the doc said she's doing
wonderful.
We are giving her Glucosamine daily per the doc's suggestion (really as
a preventative measure) but other than that her health is perfect.
Thanks so much for placing such an amazing dog in our home.
We sing the rescue's praises to everyone who compliments our girl (and
that's a lot
of people). Scott and I have actually remarked that we can't imagine
ever getting a dog from any other
place than a rescue from here on out. Neither one of us has ever had
a dog with so much love to give and
receive from us. Thanks again for a great first year-we wouldn't have
had her without your help.
Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only.
If you are interested in meeting Katie, please let us know so that
arrangements can be made with the foster home.
NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order
to be considered to adopt a dog through our program.
