Millie

Millie has now been with us for two years. She is a joy to have as a part of our family. She is full of energy and difficult for us to keep up with, but Sady really tries. Millie had some issues in the beginning but has adjusted quite well to her new family. As you can see, Millie's ear has been cut, the story is that someone might have tried to do a home crop job and succeeded in a poor job and her one ear with the tip cut off of it. Millie also had been abused and we've had to re-train her to accept love and affection as well as be able to play with Sady, us and kids in the neighborhood. She was also terrified of blankets for some reason. After about a year, we finally were able to get her to snuggle up under a blanket when she's cold, the poor thing would just lay there and shiver but now she stays snuggly warm!

We are very excited to have adopted Millie and are currently fostering Lonnie, which is turning out to be quite a challenge. Millie and Lonnie didn't quite like each other in the beginning, but it's been three days now and they seem to have become buddies our issue right now is he has managed to intimidate Sady and we are trying to get them to work out their issues. We'll see how things go!
