Sheena - Adopted

Sheena is new to Payton’s Place. She comes to us from a shelter where she was a stray. She is a real sweetheart, and so pretty! She is black and rust, with a docked tail and cropped ears. We think she is around 2 years old. She is friendly and well behaved. She loves people and other dogs. She seems to enjoy kids as well. We don’t know about cats yet, but with her mellow personality, we expect her to tolerate them. She is housebroken.

This poor little girl has not been well cared for, though. Her skin is very dry and the hair on her neck is almost gone, maybe from being tied up and the collar rubbing her neck. (Her coat should improve quickly now that she is living indoors and eating good food.) She has probably had a couple of litters already, perhaps recently. Sometimes she seems to be afraid she will be hit or something. Right now she prefers quiet people and a quiet environment, but she should become more confident with time and TLC. So if you’ve got some TLC to give to a lovely Dobergirl, consider adding Sheena to your family. She will love you right back.

Sheena is in a foster home, so if you’d like to meet her, please let us know so we can make arrangements.

Visitors are always welcome, by appointment only.   Sheena is in a foster home currently so if you are interested in meeting him, please let us know so that we can make arrangements with his foster family.

NOTE: An adoption application MUST be submitted in order to be considered to adopt a dog through our program.
