Tyra is a sweet little
red female, about 3 months old or so. She has a
docked tail and natural ears. As you can see from her pictures, Tyra is
in a cast. It seems she was loose in her backyard, got out, and wandered
next door where the neighbor’s dog was on a chain. She got tangled up in
the
neighbor dog’s chain and was bitten several times in the leg, as well as
suffering
injury from the chain itself. She has come to rescue because her
previous owner
couldn’t afford her medical expenses. Tyra’s leg is now healing.
However, she has
a long road to recovery as the skin cells around the bite wounds started
to die and
now have to regenerate. Can you find it in your heart to help this
little girl back to
good health? She has needed extensive medical treatment thus far and
will require
even more. She is up for adoption but will not be ready to go home until
her leg is healed.
Even if you can’t adopt her, she could use your help as a sponsor.
Update: Tyra
is doing very well. She had to have surgery on her
leg to remove an infection in her bone. So far her medical
expenses are getting very high and we need some help!
Special Needs Dobermans is assisting with one bill
and they are asking for donations, please go to
http://www.doberman911.org/cases/tyra.html
to help cover Tyra's vet bills. You
can also make
a donation directly to SWODR as we have
other veterinary expenses that are not being assisted
with. Tyra really could use your help!
