Sponsor A Doberman

  Would you like to help a particular Doberman find its forever home? If you can't adopt and you can't foster, then please consider sponsoring a Doberman that touches your heart. Your sponsorship can be a one time gift to help care for that Dobe, or can be a monthly contribution to provide continuing care.
     Each Doberman that comes to SWODR is brought current on shots, heartworm tested, spayed or neutered, dewormed, and microchipped. In addition, we must supply flea/tick and heartworm preventative, any continuing medication, and food until that Doberman is adopted. Because we do not have enough foster homes, most of the dogs must stay at the Rescue facility until they are adopted. Excluding the basic boarding fees, the vet expenses for each dog averages about $225. If the dog needs treatment for heartworm or kennel cough, we provide that as well. Heartworm treatment alone is at least $300 for each dog. However you look at it, this process of getting a Doberman ready to be adopted isn't cheap.
     We exist solely on donations and adoption fees. Often the adoption fee doesn't even begin to cover the costs of that one Doberman. So, we're looking for sponsors. If you can help by sending a one time gift or a monthly contribution, you would be doing so much to help that one Doberman learn what love and safety and warmth really are. You won't change the world by helping one Doberman , but you'll change that Doberman 's world forever.
     Our sponsor program is well established as a mail-in fundraiser, but it is also proving to be a great Internet fundraiser as well. Sponsored dogs, and their respective sponsors, will be posted on the Friends of SWODR page. Please consider being a part of this important fundraiser and send a donation. With your support, we can better care for these wonderful dogs and find great homes for all of them. You may want to consider giving a sponsorship as a gift to someone you love. Or, wouldn’t it be a wonderful class project?
     Please indicate which dog your sponsorship is for. If your sponsored dog is adopted, we will contact you and you can choose another one of our wonderful dogs to sponsor while it awaits its permanent home. Please know that every little bit counts, so no amount is too small.
